Aastha's Insights Featured in India Business Law Journal Article, 'RBI Bares Its Teeth'
We are pleased to share that our Partner, Aastha has been quoted by India Business Law Journal an article titled, “RBI bares its teeth.”
As per Aastha, “One of the key areas where co-operative banks have fallen short is compliance with KYC norms, which could be attributed to resource constraints both in terms of technology and expertise to ensure a strong compliance culture.”
She further noted that, in May, the RBI invited applications for recognition of self-regulatory organisations for NBFCs. The organisations were expected to collaborate with the RBI in strengthening the compliance culture and protecting stakeholder interests.
Aastha also added, “NBFCs and especially fintech companies have also seen a fair bit of scrutiny on compliance issues and governance standards.”
