Aastha is part of the Firm’s Banking & Finance practice as well as the Corporate Insolvency & Restructuring Practice. She has extensive experience in handling various banking and finance, projects and project finance transactions, both as lenders’ counsel as well as borrower’s counsel. Apart from advising several renowned banks and NBFCs, Aastha regularly advises large corporate houses on various transactions including structured finance, syndicated lending, real estate financing and financing through NCDs.
She advises a wide range of stakeholders on corporate insolvency and restructuring matters, including investors, asset reconstruction companies, financial institutions as well as the committees of creditors and also regularly appears before the NCLT. She has also been involved in making stakeholders’ representations to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India on issues under the existing IBC regime and suggested changes to the same.
Aastha’s practice also focuses on providing strategic inputs and solutions relating to debt restructuring sought to be undertaken by financial institutions. She is advising several prominent banks, NBFCs and PFIs on strategic debt restructuring exercises and the regulatory regime governing it.
Aastha graduated from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2009. She joined Argus Partners in December 2009 and is currently a Partner at the Firm.
