Namitha’s experience and expertise over the last 15 years has been varied and diverse having developed an extensive litigation and disputes practise as well as developing an active general corporate advisory and transactional practise and real estate transactional practice.
In her litigation and dispute resolution practice, Namitha’s primary focus areas have been commercial disputes, company and corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, compulsory, and voluntary winding up of companies/entities, contract law, civil law, real estate and infrastructure, private estate law, consumer laws, education laws, white collar and alternative dispute redressal systems. Namitha has appeared and argued matters before various fora including the Supreme Court of India, various High courts in India, National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, National Green Tribunal, Debt Recovery Tribunal, Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Competition Commission of India, Real Estate Regulatory Authority and Real Estate Appellate Tribunal in various states and various other courts, tribunals and forums across India. Namitha has also represented clients in cross-border arbitrations before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the London International Arbitration Centre as well as various domestic arbitrations.
Namitha also regularly advises clients with respect of general corporate matters, transactional matters and extensively provides regulatory advisory. She has worked across a broad range of sectors including education, manufacturing, ground transportation, fintech, food & beverage, hospitality, Oil & Gas and consumer. She actively works in providing advisory services to some of the country’s leading fintech companies in the payment aggregation and digital payment space.
Namitha also has extensive experience in real estate sector and has worked across 16 states on real estate transactional and diligence assignments as well as litigation matters. Namitha has advised various major domestic real estate players and has experience in assisting her clients in handling real estate projects end-to-end, from land acquisition to project implementation and financing. Namitha also has worked on the venture debt space and has represented various leading Alternative Investment Fund(s) in India in their investments.
Namitha was admitted to the Bar in 2006. Before joining the Firm, Namitha previously also founded Samvid Legal, a law firm practise in Delhi. Namitha completed her BA.LLB from Symbiosis Law College, Pune, Maharashtra.

Represented the Resolution Professional of M/s Coastal Oil & Gas Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. before the Hon'ble National Company Law Appellant Tribunal, Chennai in relation to the Resolution Plan of M/s Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. amounting to INR 600 Crores and before Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Amravati Bench in relation to the Resolution Plan of M/s Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. amounting to INR. 37.50 Crores.
Represented Fortune 500 US based Company before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in securing interim relief from encashment of bank guarantee(s) worth USD 5 million against Cox and Kings Limited and the Ministry of External Affairs.
Represented a leading real estate company before Hon’ble Justice Aftab Alam (Retd), Supreme Court of India acting as sole arbitrator and succeeded in obtaining an award granting counter claims in a contentious dispute.
Represented a leading real estate company before Hon’ble Justice Sunil Ambawani (Retd), Chief Justice, Rajasthan High Court acting as sole arbitrator and successfully obtained an award for mense profits and damages in favour of the landlord under institutional leasing.
Represented Kin/Legal Heirs of deceased Pilot against Air India Ltd and Air India Express before the Labour Commissioner and Hon’ble High Court of Delhi landmark judgment/order directing that if a pilot was to die even of natural causes during rest period in outstation posting the same would be deemed be during the course of employment and the deceased pilot’s legal heirs would be entitled compensation under Employees Compensation Act, 1923.
Represented the landlord in “Panchi Devi vs. Omwati” before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on the ambit of Section 53A of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 with respect to “oral agreements”, which is a landmark decision on Section 53A of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882.
Regulatory advisory to One97 Communications Ltd. (Paytm), Phonepe Pvt. Ltd., One MobiKwik Systems Ltd. and Freecharge Payment Technology Pvt. Ltd. on Payment Aggregation, Payment Gateways and various systems thereinunder.
Regulatory advisory to Mohan Meakin Ltd. on structuring of the labour workforce across various factories in compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations.
Advised and retained by Conscient Group of Companies for their real estate projects (end to end) (acquisition, project implementation, due diligence, litigation and dispute resolution) for the last 10 years including residential, commercial and institutional projects across Haryana, Uttrakhand and Goa.
Advised and represented Ninaniya Group in the set up of the hotel property under the management and operation of Starwood Hotels and Resorts (Four Points by Sheraton) in Gurugram, Haryana and with M/s Berggreun Hotels Private Limited for Keys Prism Suites, Gurugram Haryana.
Advised and represented Ahuja Residences Private Limited in the Facility Management model for Fontana Bay Suites (Serviced Apartments) in Pune, Maharashtra.
Advised and represented M/s Maple Realty Pvt Limited for Joint Venture Transaction with Brigade Enterprises Pvt Limited for Mixed Use Development in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
