CII Corporate Governance Series with K.V. Kamath, Sanjiv Bajaj and R. Mukundan
We are pleased to share that our Managing Partner, Krishnava Dutt, recently shared his insights at the CII Governance Series Breakfast Session in Mumbai. The session, themed "Envisioning Corporate Governance for the Future," focused on key emerging issues in governance.
Krishnava discussed the critical need for enhanced board oversight regarding the open-source code license regime and generative AI. He highlighted that nearly 50% of boards currently do not consider AI as part of their agenda, underscoring the increasing importance of robust board supervision and oversight to ensure AI safety and maintain the integrity of open-source codes utilized by companies.
Along with Krishnava, the panel featured prominent industry leaders, including K.V. Kamath, Non-Executive Chairman, Jio Financial Services; Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman, CII Corporate Governance Council and Chairman and Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv; and R. Mukundan, Vice President, CII and Managing Director & CEO, Tata Chemicals.
